Wow. I know my husband's obsessed with baseball (and fantasy baseball) when he asked the question "Baseball is almost over, what I'm I gonna do now?" Hmmm..... what are you gonna do now?! Now you know I love my husband, but how many hours a day can a person spend on fantasy baseball, watching it on t.v. or setting up your line up for the next days games. Yes baseball season is almost over (thank goodness!). I mean "oh that's just too bad" :)
But really, baseball season had a good run, like 7ish months! Isn't that a little too much? I mean really, it's only baseball. I can only sit and watch nothing happen for so long. I think I was a pretty good sport with this being my first experience with baseball season. At least I think I was. Especially with that game that lasted 15 innings (at the very end of last baseball season). I thought I was going to keel over from boredom.
There are a few other things that I would rather do than watch a baseball game:
-Swim with sharks.
-Make some bees' mad.
-Befriend a rabid raccoon.
-Get rabies.
-Chew ABC gum.
-Watch a Harry Potter movie.
-Brush a bum's teeth for him.
-Maybe even give that bum a bath.
You get the idea... :)
But don't fret, we have football and basketball now! They can be enjoyable. As long as the Trail Blazers stop hurting themselves and the Seahawks start winning big. Oh, and Brett Favre stops throwing interceptions.
Somehow, I don't think I'll be managing 3 fantasy baseball teams come next spring...
ReplyDeleteSome one once said baseball is a game that involves Long periods of absolute mind numbing boredom interupted by moments of incredible excitement.. I can feel your pain.. I can watch it live or play it.. but following it on T.V.? No thanks... I draw the line at washing a bum tho...
ReplyDeleteWOW this sounds like my life, I was involved in sports my whole life, and I feel the SAME WAY!
ReplyDeleteI've always found that the World Series is the most exciting part about baseball.
ReplyDeleteI've actually got into sports a lot more since I've moved to Texas which probably has a lot to do with it. Football and other sports to a lesser extent is a religion in this state. It has been fun learning!
Thanks for commenting guys! Yes, my husband loves baseball. I'm still learning to love it, it's a work in progress! Valerie, I bet your excited about the world series this year with the Texas Rangers being in it. Thanks for following guys! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteGo Yankees! I mean in 2011!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to go to a Mariner's Game next season..unless it takes away from Adams fantasy baseball plans. :)
lol! I am somewhat thankful that I did not marry a sports fan. John will occasionally watch a game if it's with friends but that's about it. of course, he's a video game addict...
